I am incredibly interested in my ancestral roots, so I aspire to live on a homestead one day, growing my food, handmaking my products, and raising my animals. . While that dream has not yet manifested, I can pursue some of it now – like making soaps! . Many soap makers buy premixed oil bases. It’s easier and faster, but I was never one to do anything the easy way! . That is why I buy pure ingredients, melt them, and craft my oil blend base. It comprises Canola Oil, Organic Coconut Oil, and Organic Palm Oil. . Once these are melted down, I add a lye and distilled water component. (Note: lye is a natural ingredient that is used in all soaps to create suds and lather) . Then comes my ultra-moisturizing additive, which makes this soap stand out from the rest. . I added 70,000IU of Super Blend Vitamin E oil. This blend contains Jojoba, Rosehip Seed, Almond, Argon, and Avocado Oil. . Lastly, I utilize essential oils to give my soaps a natural herbal scent. This particular bar is scented with Honeysuckle. . Thats it! That’s all that’s in this bar! Compared to store-bought bars, this soap is a breath of fresh air. No chemicals or toxic perfumes. Just ultra-natural moisture that will have your skin thanking you big time! . (Tip: I love using my bars on my whole body, but I especially love using them on my face and hands!)
