The Mystery of Balancing Our Energy

Balance is the key to any success; big or small.
When you pursue a health journey there is a particular ratio you must practice. It exists between your workouts, nutrition, and rest. When those ratios go off balance and you put too much energy into one but not the other, results fail to appear.
When you tip the scales in your career field and begin overloading yourself with too much work, the quality of your work begins to deteriorate as does your mental state.
The only way we can flourish and live out our truest purpose in life is to balance all that we do. Too much of anything is unhealthy.
Aside from balancing our physical world we must also absorb that balancing our emotional/energy state is just as vital, if not more so, in helping you manifest your truest self.
Before you begin littering your mind with the thought of, “I can’t help how I feel when _______ happens to me.” I’m going to stop you right there!
We first need to understand that FEELINGS are not the enemy, and you are ALLOWED to have them without feeling shame. We are human, and as humans we have a shit load of emotions- ranging from happy, sad, exhausted, irritable, ecstatic, silly, horny, hungry, HANGRY- for gosh sake, we are a complex of emotional feelings.
However, feelings, especially negative ones, are a playground awaiting to get graffitied by your subconscious ego. Before I go over positive energy, let’s talk about the effects of negative energy and how you can balance it.
Negative Energy
When we feel stress, resentment, anger, fear, depression, etc. our brains release the stress hormones cortisol and adrenaline. When cortisol levels are often heightened things like weight gain, high blood pressure, and even disease is more likely to manifest within your life.
However, those terrible physical manifestations can only occur when you water the seeds of the negative emotions you are feeling. This causes your balance to go out of whack and continues to grow pessimism with the negativity you are already feeling.
With that being said, we require negative energy in order to experience the positive in its most abundant state. Negative energy MUST BE PRESENT within our lives for the positive to be there.
How do you handle negative energy without letting it grow then? I thought you’d never ask! 😉
When you can become so self-aware that you can catch yourself in any moment of heightened emotion and say, “HEY! I feel _____ right now and I accept that.” You are taking back your power from your overanalyzing subconscious.
The subconscious is great for helping us with things like recognizing danger or when something feels off, but he/she is a real twat when it comes to helping us handle emotion.
The subconscious will immediately go into a fight or flight response when negative energy rears its ugly head. It will begin to force agonizing thoughts throughout your brain to help you find “answers” as to why you are feeling the way you are. It is also very sly in convincing you that you are a victim, and you need to sulk and shut down, so people take pity on you. We do this because when people take pity on us, it helps validate why we are feeling the negative way we are. In the process, all you end up doing is growing your turmoil and continuing to keep yourself stuck within that negative bubble.
When you allow yourself to feel a certain way and stop giving it more attention than it deserves you take your power back. You not only process the emotions you are feeling but accepting them, also allows you to let them go and heal in the process. Feelings might appear as if they’ll last forever. However, they naturally move with an ebb and flow vibration when you accept them and then let them fizzle out on their own.
Many of us don’t realize that if we just accepted our negative emotions and superman punched our subconscious into a long-drawn-out slumber, that many of the “bad” things we experience will pass a lot faster than we allow them to.
Positive Energy
Next, let’s talk about my favorite energy; POSITIVE! I used to think being positive 100% of the time was what the world needed more of, but soon found out that that interferes with your energy balance too.
Many people who claim they are positive all the time either harbor denial about areas of their life, suppress all negative emotions (which is not healthy) or choose to escape from the parts of their life that need some TLC.
When we give far too much attention to positive energy, we are now injecting our subconscious with a heavy dose of steroids, which eventually promotes things like arrogance, ungratefulness, and greed.
Holding yourself above others because you don’t think negativity can touch you, eventually ends up manifesting more negative energy.
Embracing positivity for all that it is, is how you keep that peaceful balance. Remaining humble within that positive space allows you to enjoy it fully. Being entirely present within the good times, accepting them, and being grateful for them, is how we truly end up manifesting our dream life.
In Conclusion
That does NOT mean negativity won’t end up creeping back into your life, because it will. That is life my friends. However, when you recognize that both the good things and the bad things that happen to you are absolutely NECESSARY in order to help you progress forward, you begin to gain a level of acceptance that eternally comforts you upon every peak and within every valley you find yourself.
Everything has a purpose; it’s how you decide to deal with it that constructs what your tomorrow will look like. Remember, YOU hold the power. You always have.
